Let The Outside In

Katy and Henry were a delight to work with from start to finish, and their stunning wedding at Garthmyl Hall was enough to send shivers down my spine. This was a foliage heavy brief, and my team and I draped, garlanded and festooned for all we were worth, until the elegant country house looked as though it had been enchanted and overtaken by curling greenery. The effect was a little bit magical.

We kept colour to a minimum, focusing instead on the natural greens and greys of the leaves, with accents of clean white and ivory in Katy’s bouquet. I love how the antique gold of the candlesticks peeks through the foliage on the tables and adds some opulence to the styling. This was an ambitious brief, including green beech, olive, birch, eucalyptus and acacia, but it shows that sometimes more really is more!
