Blush Pink in Portmeirion

Lisa and David got married in the colourful, higgledy-piggledy village of Portmeirion in Wales. Its church, hotels and cluster of cottages feel like they’ve been plucked out of the pages of an Italian fairytale, and deposited on the shores of the Dwyryd Estuary. There’s real whimsy here as well as elegance, and it’s a fantastic choice for a wedding celebration! The couple wanted their flowers to be loose and relaxed, with a large and abundant bouquet and a colour palette of ivories and blush pinks.

I used a range of beautifully fragrant flowers and foliage for Lisa and David’s wedding, including garden roses, dahlias, the frothy spikes of astilbe and delicate hydrangea blossoms, all in shades of creamy white and pale blush. These were contrasted with pops of deep burgundy from the chocolate cosmos (incredible, rich flowers that really do smell like chocolate), and rounded out with eucalyptus and sprigs of mint.
